My friend Mitchell (from Recovery Period) got peer pressured into getting a tattoo tonight. Not really. He’s been talking about it, but tonight was told to put up or shut up (someone offered to front him the money for it - how can you refuse that?). Anyway, it’s the logo for his band. It’s a wing, and he got it on his shoulder. Looks pretty badass.

An idea for the paintball website would be a splash screen that opens with a video that automatically starts playing. Of course I think it would be cool if we could get some webcams and just ducttape them to our masks or some helmets and then have them remotely relay the footage back to some laptops. Then we could splice all the footage together and make the video, just like a 15 sec piece to show what goes on at the dirtpirt.

we should order some black and white stickers for paintballphreaks.com so people can put them on their pods and stuff. since paintballphreaks.com is not up yet, can you put a calendar up with the upcoming dates for the sundays we are planning to play so everybody can see and that way i don’t have to call everybody, i can just email them to that URL for them to see when we are playing.

suggested categories to add to the site:

“video” - featuring an elaborate reconstruction of the arcade machine. Where the parts were ordered from. Recommendations for what to look for when building one for your experience in building it. The place where you got the arcade machine from. The websites that featured the graphics you researched to have under the console. Where the joysticks were ordered from. Your plan for hooking up the computer inside it to run the arcade and video games.

“homebrew” - contain all the latest updates on how the batches of beer are turning out. The ingredients use, if it was your mom’s honey or regular honey. What the beer tasted like. How long it was left to ferment. How much was made, how many bottles were made. Plans for upcoming batches and whatnot.

on the paintball pics category….put pics of our paintball guns on there. Like just grab them off the web to show what different guns we all use to play with and if somebody does a search for those paintball guns, maybe your speedphreaks.com site will show up in the results and they would see the category and could maybe post something about what we could do to our guns or something like that, like user feedback? But that is one idea that could happen, i think you should also write something about the production of paintballphreaks.com and how that is coming along with the different team pages.

The logo was designed by Mitchell (mg3graphix@aol.com - carefull if you email him… he’s sensitive). Occasionally, he comes up with some pretty cool crap. This one ranks up there. I think he’s going to do a series of logos/headers that I’ll just have rotate in and out. If you need/want him to do any graphic design work for you, let me know. I’m more than happy to pimp him out. He and I are working on another web project, so I’ll have more examples of his work.

Let’s see…. This is potentially the 5th CMS (Content Management System for the uninitiated) that I’ve installed on my website. They’ve typically fallen to the wayside. Sparse. Neglected. Empty. This is my latest attempt at capturing my thoughts and ideas for your reading enjoyment here on the good ole intarweb.

You may be wondering why speedpreaks.com. Short answer is… I don’t know. It’s just a name. It’s actually a screenname that I came up with for a forum that I was pretty into, and have since adopted as my internet “handle” as it were. Other than that, there were other ideas for it (portal site for like minded speed junkies), but like my interest in blogging, they were quickly forgotten.

Life’s thrown me a few curves lately, so maybe I’ll have a bit more to say now, but I make no guarantees. So, with my part of the introduction out of the way… Tell me a little about yourself.
